Almetyevsk State Oil Institute
General Information
Almetyevsk State Oil Institute was established in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Tatarstan Republic on the base of the Tatar Evening Department of the State Academy of Oil and Gas named after I.M. Gubkin.
Today Almetyevsk State Oil Institute has more than 5 study faculties and 20 study departments supplied with the most modern technical equipment and laboratory facilities. More than 5500 local and international students, foreign auditors, and postgraduate students have the ability to conduct research in the field of the oil and gas industry and implement their results in life. The academic staff consists of more than 300 highly-qualified lectures more than 60% of them have scientific degrees or Ph.D. degrees and are doctors of science.
University provides students with free access to modern laboratories, computer rooms, a university library, a sports complex, a diagnostic center, university canteens, a student hostel, and a printing office. There are 14 specialized computer rooms connected to the internet. More than 30 licensed computer programs are used in the training process. All classrooms have access to the local institute computer network which allows the successful use of modern processing technologies in the training process.
The University is a member of the Bologna process. It provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develops advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.

Accommodation and Housing
Student Dormitory has eight rooms per floor, with 2-3 people per room. Each floor also has one kitchen and two toilets, and the basement has a shower. All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.
Every hostel resident can use every common room in the building, including the library, gym, canteen, and resting rooms. All rooms are well-furnished and ready to use at every time and day. Every room is supplied with modern technologies such as computers, cable TV, free Wi-Fi, central heating systems, air condition systems, and audiovisual equipment.
