The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia is a state university and research institution in Moscow. The Institute began its existence in 1963 when a branch of the Kazan Chemical and Technological Institute in Nizhnekamsk was established. Its appearance was due to the rapid development of the petrochemical industry in the region. In 1995, the branch was reorganized into Nizhnekamsk Chemical Technological Institute of Kazan State Technological University. The Institute accepts local and international students. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia is a federal state budgetary higher educational institution, the largest Russian educational and research center in the field of chemical technology. The university acquired its current name and status in 1992 with its Moscow campus mainly located on Miusskaya Square and in Tushino. UCTR (University of Chemical Technology of Russia) has two branches – in Novomoskovsk and Tashkent (Uzbekistan). State University of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold is a public university in Russia that existed from 1930–1958 in Moscow, and from 1958–2006 in Krasnoyarsk. The university was founded in 1930 based on the Faculty of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy of the Moscow Mining Academy as the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold. In 1940, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold was named after M. I. Kalinin. In December 1958, by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, the institute was transferred to Krasnoyarsk and renamed the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals. By 1998, the academy included four institutes and four faculties, which provide training in thirty-four special specialties of 4,100 students, including 1,200 part-time students.
