General Information
Moscow State Academy of Water Transport is a higher educational institution in Moscow city of the Russian Federation. Moscow State Academy of Water Transport was founded in 1980 based on the Moscow branch of the Leningrad Institute of Water Transport. The University focuses on integrating science, modern education methods, and innovations, as well as establishing a creative environment for unlocking the potential of every student.
Moscow State Academy of Water Transport trains specialists for the industry of sea and river sources. Moscow State Academy of Water Transport is a large educational complex, which includes the Law Institute, 23 study departments consisting of 5 study faculties, 5 study branches, and 7 offices. Moscow State Academy of Water Transport has a highly qualified pedagogical staff of 325 faculty members.
Every year university trains 1,300 local and international students in bachelor courses, masters courses, and postgraduate courses. Till now Moscow State Academy of Water Transport has trained over 17,000 specialists. All graduates have vast amounts of opportunities with employment in the most popular international organizations and Russian companies. The university offers 11 English-medium Master`s programs, two of which are internationally accredited to ASIIN (German accreditation association).
University provides Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develop advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.

Accommodation and Housing
The University is proud of its modern dormitory housing 1100 people. Every section has two cozy rooms, a kitchen, a shower, and a bathroom. The hostel for international students is located in the center of the city 30mtr from the University’s main building. The hostel has well-equipped rooms with all modern facilities for 3 seated big rooms upgraded comforts, and central heating.
Reception, laundry, cleaning and washing personnel, reading room, and computer hall are always available for every hostel resident. The cost of living in Russia can be completely affordable and can also make it a comfortable place to live in.
