Nizhnekamsk Chemical Technological Institute

General Information 

The Institute began its existence in 1963 when a branch of the Kazan Chemical and Technological Institute in Nizhnekamsk was established. Its appearance was due to the rapid development of the petrochemical industry in the region. In 1995, the branch was reorganized into Nizhnekamsk Chemical Technological Institute of Kazan State Technological University. 

The Institute accepts local and international students. The medium of instruction of Russian and English. Students can apply for Bachelor’s courses, Masters’s courses, and Ph.D. degree programs. The institute is an officially registered university with the Ministry of Higher Education in Russia. Due to numerous cooperation agreements with foreign universities and international organizations, students and members of academic staff can take part in exchange programs and internships abroad to get new theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Educational programs in Institute held courses in different forms of their coverage such as full-time courses, part-time courses, or distance learning, different types of their coverage (main studies or parallel studies), and delivery methods (stationary study programs and distance study programs). Computer classrooms and laboratories of the University are equipped with modern hardware and licensed software.

Accommodation and Housing 

All dormitories are fully equipped with modern engineering communications: central heating, hot, and cold water supply, sewerage, and electricity supply. All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.

The administration of the university, represented by the rector, concludes a mutual responsibility agreement with the students who settle in the dormitory, which stipulates all the requirements for students and their rights. To safely live students there is a pass mode, a watch equipped with telephones for emergency calls to the police, and rescue services.
