Novosibirsk State University
General Information
Novosibirsk State University is a public research university located in Novosibirsk, Russia. The university was founded in 1958, on the principles of integration of education and science, early involvement of students with research activities, and the engagement of leading scientists in its teaching programs.
The mission of the university is to provide quality education and allow graduates to integrate into an all-Russian and international educational and research space, forming high moral qualities of a person, purposeful getting and accumulation of new knowledge in the sphere of applied biotechnology and other spheres of activity of the university, dissemination of that knowledge in the decision of complex tasks in the development of the sector.
University provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develop advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.
University staff is prominent specialists in the field of technical science working on improving curricula and learning processes, enhancing facilities, and expanding research. Among them are many engineers, programmers, professors, honored workers of the science of the Russian Federation, laureates of State Awards in Sciences, and fellow members of Russian and international academies.

Accommodation and Housing
University has 8 student hostels that offer comfortable living for 4,000 international students. Every hostel resident can use every common room in the building, including the library, gym, canteen, and resting rooms. All rooms are well-furnished and ready to use at every time and day. Every room is supplied with modern technologies such as computers, cable TV, free Wi-Fi, central heating systems, air condition systems, and audiovisual equipment.
The main university campus is located in the green area in the heart of Novosibirsk and offers a wide range of facilities to satisfy various interests and needs. The biggest Congress hall in Rostov provides all kinds of University facilities with its Concert hall for 1500 seats, Press conference hall, and 20 multimedia rooms for breakout sessions equipped with top-level equipment for presentations and multi-language broadcasting.
