About University
The Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia is a state university and research institution in Moscow. It was established in 1960 to provide higher education in Russia to international students and increase the level of higher education in Russia. This University is a state educational institution in Russia working under the Government of the Russian Federation, occupying one of the top places among classical universities in Russia and a leading position in training international students who study humanities in Russia.
University provides a studying process in Russia for more than 21,500 prominent students and gives them the ability to get a higher degree in Russia, study law in Russia, and study languages in Russia. The university staff includes about 5,000 highly qualified academicians, among them are 442 professors and Doctors of Science, 807 associate professors and Candidates of Science, 91 Academicians and Corresponding Members of academies of Russia, and 50 Honored workers of Science of the Russian Federation. More than 56 teachers and professors are full members of international academies and learned societies, as well as other general employees.
Many international students, Russian political and public figures, and scientists have become professors at the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. These are international students from Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Europe, almost from all republics of the former Soviet Union as well as representatives of autonomies and regions of multinational Russia that study medicine in Russia. International students are organized in student associations by country and region.

The People’s Friendship University of Russia provides students with a fully furnished and aesthetically designed student hostel in Russia on the university campus in Moscow on a sharing basis. The international students are provided beds on a sharing basis. Every hostel resident has free access to the University canteen and all common kitchens on every floor. The students will get access to available 24/7 Wi-Fi facilities in the student hostel in Russia.
All modern amenities are available including pillows, blankets, bedsheets, beds, tables, chairs, etc. One common kitchen in every block of rooms is available for students to cook food on their own. Regular electricity and water supply are available for international students. International students in Russia have permanent access to all rooms in the students’ hostel including laundry rooms, reading rooms, and study and reading rooms with a vast amount of books, scientific works, articles, modern computers, TV, 3D technologies, and other audiovisual equipment.
