About University
State Classical Academy named after Maimonides is a Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education in Moscow city of Russian Federation. State Classical Academy was established in 1991. State Classical Academy is a public educational institution that acts under the education laws of the Russian Federation.
The main objectives of education activity and research activity in the University are to train qualified specialists using modern management systems and control guaranteeing high quality of higher education, enter new medical specialties, develop elite and mass educational professional programs, realize functions of the head center for development and approbation of the state educational standards. The university provides a wide range of educational programs and students have the opportunity to study law, study MBBS, study mathematics, study IT, and study art.
Today the State Classical Academy has 32 study departments with a teaching staff of 280 qualified teachers. They are ready to provide comprehensive assistance concerning studying and research activities at University. Over the last 13 years, State Classical Academy has trained more than 7,500 professionals.
The duration of the study program at an intramural class program and medical study curriculum of the Department of General Medicine and Department of Pediatrics for those students who have completed secondary education is 6 years. There is no extramural class program for these medical departments. University provides studying of medical sciences and healthcare disciplines in modernized classrooms, auditoriums, reading rooms, libraries, and computer classes with audiovisual technologies and 3D monitors.
Recognition
State Classical Academy named after Maimonides has recognition from famous international medical organizations and state medical bodies. University is recognized by the WHO (World Health Organization), MCI (Medical Council of India), NMC (National Medical Commission), the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. such connections open university students to a wide range of opportunities concerning their future medical careers and internships abroad.
In 2014 academy initiated the launch of an international consortium on infectious diseases, namely the Tomsk Opisthorchiasis Consortium (TOPIC) that involves Switzerland, Germany, Thailand, the USA, Netherlands. International partners include medical universities, humanity universities, and research organizations in the UK, Germany, the USA, Korea, Japan, Latvia, the CIS region, and others. Also, the Academy is a holder of several Erasmus+ grants for student and staff mobility.

Accommodation
For a comfortable stay, Academy offers nonresident students to stay in renovated and well-furnished student hostels of the university. Students live in shared rooms for 2-3 students. The student house is located near educational buildings and social facilities of the university.
Every student is provided with the necessary conditions for full-fledged living, study, cultural recreation, and sports activity. The hostels are equipped with reading rooms and computer rooms, lounges with tennis tables, and student gyms. There are laundry rooms with washing machines. One of the hostels is equipped with modern medical equipment. It should be noted that the student is provided with housing throughout the entire period of study. In addition, each hostel has its student councils, which help to solve housing and household issues of nonresident students and organize cultural events and sports events.
