State Maritime University of Russia

State Maritime University named after Admiral GI Nevelsky is one of the oldest universities in the Far East. Maritime State University was founded in 1890 in Vladivostok. Maritime State University prepares professionals in the field of marine transportation system, humanities and marine engineering. The Maritime State University is not only the first Russian Maritime State University but also one of the leading universities in the Asia-Pacific region. Today the training of specialists for the marine industry in the Moscow State University is carried out by 950 highly qualified teachers with many years of experience in education and in the Navy. At present Maritime State University has 15 faculties and 53 departments and 8 institutes. Every year Maritime State University enrolls 2100 students. In 200 years Maritime State University has trained 95000 marine professionals.
