General Information
Professor V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University was founded in 1942. It is a non-profit public higher education institution in Krasnoyarsk Krai city of Krasnoyarsk. University is a Russian higher education institution that is officially accredited by the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
Until 1958 Krasnoyarsk Medical Institute had only a Medical Faculty to study MBBS in Russia, but in 1958 the Pediatric Faculty was established. During its study and research activity, Professor V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University has trained more than 30,000 specialists in all medical specialties. In the last five years, Krasnoyarsk State Medical University has trained about 2,500 doctors in undergraduate MBBS courses, postgraduate MBBS courses, and doctoral courses in Medicine. Currently, the university enrolled about 800 students in all medical faculties.
In recent years Professor V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University has opened 8 new medical departments, a Morphological Centre, a Laboratory of Anthropology, an Institute of Nutrition, Biochemical Research Laboratory. Krasnoyarsk State Medical University has implemented new and interesting joint medical projects on an international level in cooperation with medical universities of Krasnoyarsk, Russia, Japan, France, Italy, Germany, and other countries.
Today Professor V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University has 66 medical departments and an academic staff of 690 professors and teachers. The University is a leader among Russian medical universities in terms of implementing modern technologies into the studying process and developing digital technologies.

Accommodation and Housing check
International students are provided with an option of student accommodation. The foreign students’ hostel is located in the city center, close to the main building of the university. Gender-specific residences and hostels are available on the university campus. The university’s hostels are well-equipped with everything a student would want while residing there. The hotel’s rooms are clean, airy, and big, and the students have access to a bathroom.
Students have the option of dining at the hostel’s canteen or cooking for themselves in shared kitchens. The Professor V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky Krasnoyarsk State Medical University hostels are properly equipped and have central heating, which is a welcome addition during the winter months. Separate toilets and kitchens are also accessible for students in the hostels.
