Russian International Academy of Tourism

General Information 

Russian International Academy for Tourism (RIAT) is the leading educational and research center in the sphere of professional tourism education at the international level in Russia. RIAT is an accredited Russian higher educational institution. It is a member of the International Association of Tourism Education and Training in Europe, and a member of the UNESCO network and knowledge network of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The campus is a scientific and educational complex with six laboratory buildings, an assembly hall, conference halls, dozens of study and scientific laboratories, computer classes, and specialized classrooms. The main aim of study activity at the University is to provide the creative and scientific potential of teachers, scientific staff, and students’ enthusiasm and aspiration for knowledge.

The University is a member of the Bologna process. It provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develops advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.

Accommodation and Housing 

Students’ hostels have single rooms and double rooms which are fully equipped for life and the study process. Canteens offer a variety of dishes at reasonable prices. There are a food market and grocery stores nearby for those who prefer to cook themselves. Students’ cafes, bars, and city parks are popular places for entertainment and outdoor recreation.

Every hostel resident can use every common room in the building, including the library, gym, canteen, and resting rooms. All rooms are well-furnished and ready to use at every time and day. Accommodations are supplied with refrigerators, shared kitchens, reading rooms, studying rooms, a hostel library, and separate bathrooms and toilets. Hostels are under 24/7 CCTV surveillance, so every student can feel safe and comfortable.
