Voronezh State Academy of Forestry and Technologies

General Information

Voronezh State Academy of Forestry and Technologies named after Morozov is a higher educational institution in the city of Voronezh. It is one of the oldest educational institutions in the city of Voronezh. Voronezh State Academy of Forestry and Technologies was established in 1930 and prepares Bachelor students, Masters students, and Specialists in a wide range of technical, economic, and humanitarian areas for businesses, organizations, and institutions for the sector of the economy, environmental protection, and rational use of natural resources. 

At present Voronezh State Academy of Forestry and Technologies has 7 study faculties and 30 study departments. Voronezh State Academy of Forestry and Technologies employs a highly qualified staff of 560 people. Till now Voronezh State Academy of Forestry and Technologies has trained 26000 professionals.

The University is the only educational institution, which implements a comprehensive educational program to train qualified personnel in the field of sustainable forest management, plantation forestry, forest genetics and selection, field afforestation, ecology and environmental management, landscape architecture, fighting wildfires, comprehensive mechanization and automation of production processes, processing and modification wood, furniture manufacture, operation and maintenance of road transport, organization and road safety, industrial economy, and production management in the vast geographical area of Central, North Caucasus and Southern Federal districts of the Russian Federation.

For about 90 years VSAFT has graduated over 50 thousand qualified professionals. Currently, many of the former students have become respected and well-known experts in the world, including the chairman of the State Forestry Committee, ministers, heads of agencies of the regional forestry, forestry director, honored foresters, honored Master of Science and Technology, State prize laureate, honored employees of higher education, academics, and professors.

Accommodation and Housing 

Student Hostel is a fully equipped and renovated building. Students have free access to a dining room, a leisure room with areas for self-study, a TV room, a small library, and a game console. Students can use common laundry rooms, common kitchens, bathrooms, and study rooms.

All rooms are shared between 2-4 students and are fully supplied with all needed furniture and modern technologies such as a permanent Wi-Fi connection, a system of central heating, air conditioning, and a permanent electricity supply. The rooms are equipped with beds, desks, chairs, and wall shelves for each student. Wardrobes and shoe racks located in the hallway are shared by the students living in the unit as well as a refrigerator. Blankets, pillows, and bed sheets are also provided to students.
