Angarsk State Technical Academy
General Information
The Angarsk State Technical Academy was founded in 1953 in the city of Angarsk. It is a training center to study petrochemicals, study chemical technology, study energy, study instrumentation, and construction for Angarsk and the East Siberian region as a whole.
Established based on the Angarsk Software plant, the university is still trying to maintain the priorities of training specialists focused on the needs of the region. The right to conduct educational activity in the field of undergraduate education and postgraduate education is fixed by the license awarded by the Russian Federal Agency of Education.
Academy sees its mission in the quality training of students, accumulation, preservation, and increase of moral and scientific values of society. The academy provides a studying process for over 2,000 international students and allows them to study technical sciences, study cybernetics, study engineering, study computer science, and business. Students can study in undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, and doctoral courses in Russia, take part, organize and carry out fundamental and applied research and development, research, and technology work.
The main aim of the Academy is to spread knowledge among the population, increase its level of technical education, providing additional educational and other services to residents of Angarsk, the East Siberian region, and students from other countries.

Accommodation and Housing
There is a large block of flats housing students, with fully furnished bedrooms organized around corridors or apartments with a shared kitchen. Free gas, electricity, hot and cold water, and phones are available for students. Rooms are centrally heated. As they’re typically located 10 minutes from the university campus, living there puts you at the center of student life.
Reception, laundry, cleaning and washing personnel, reading room, and computer hall are always available for every hostel resident. Every hostel resident can use every common room in the building, including the library, gym, canteen, and resting rooms. All rooms are well-furnished and ready to use at any time and day. Entrances to the building are equipped with video surveillance and security posts. Every room fully has modern furniture and technical equipment, such as central heating and air conditioning systems, permanent Wi-Fi, and cable TV.
