Arkhangelsk State Technical University
General Information
Arkhangelsk State Technical University is a university founded in 1929. This university is composed of at least fifteen study faculties, four study institutes, and three educational colleges. It is one of the leading public educational institutions and scientific complexes in the European North of Russia.
University is a major educational center developing active international partnerships with business organizations and industry. ASTU is the research and academic basis for establishing Northern Arctic Federal University contributing to the social and economic development of the region through close relations with the industrial sector and meeting the challenges of the Arctic.
Due to numerous cooperation agreements with foreign universities and organizations, members of academic staff and students have the opportunity to take part in eexchang programs and internships abroad to get new theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
University provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develop advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.

Accommodation and Housing
University has 10 student hostels. All of them have central heating in each room with provided electricity supply, hot and cold water, and a phone. Each room is equipped with furniture and bedding to ensure the comfort of the students coming to study MBBS in Russia.
By owing the student’s requirements, each hostel incorporates a reading room and gym on the university campus. Student Dormitory has eight rooms per floor, with 2-3 people per room. Each floor also has one kitchen and two toilets, and the basement has a shower. All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.
