Baltic Fish Fleet State Academy
General Information
Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy is a higher education institution in Kaliningrad city of the Russian Federation. The Academy is a part of Kaliningrad State Technical University’s structural division and is the most developed maritime academy in that area. Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy was founded in 1966 and has 5 study faculties, 14 study departments, and a staff of 350 skilled educators.
Every year Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy enrolls 1,500 students from different regions of Russia and Foreign countries. During 50 years of studying and research activities, Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy has given 17,000 trained maritime professionals to shipping industries and helped them in getting a quality degree.
The Scientific and Technical Library of the Academy is a structural unit providing students and teachers with literature and information in accordance with professional educational programs and curricula. The International cooperation department comprises an organizational office and international projects and exchanges office. The main function of the department is to develop cooperation between Russian and foreign educational institutions.
Study Programs
Academy provides studying process at the following faculties:
- Faculty of Navigation;
- Faculty of Marine Engineering;
- Faculty of Radio Engineering;
- Faculty of Transport;
- Faculty of Correspondence;
- Institute of Applied Economics and Management.
Accommodation and Housing
Student Dormitory has eight rooms per floor, with 2-3 people per room. Each floor also has one kitchen and two toilets, and the basement has a shower. All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.
Every hostel resident can use every common room in the building, including the library, gym, canteen, and resting rooms. All rooms are well-furnished and ready to use at every time and day.
