Buryat State Agriculture Academy named after V.P.Philipov

General Information
Philipov Buryat State Agricultural Academy is a federal state budgetary educational institution of higher education, one of the leading educational and scientific centers of Siberia and the Far East of Russia. The Academy was founded on August 13, 1931, as the Agro-Pedagogical Institute in the Buryat-Mongolian Republic.
The structure of Philipov Buryat State Agricultural Academy includes 6 study faculties, 3 study institutes, an agrotechnical college, subdivisions of educational, research activities and production, and economic activities. University provides studying processes at the Institute of Further Education and the Institute of Land Management, Cadastres, and Land Reclamation.
There are also facilities for cultural, educational, recreational, and therapeutic uses. The academy also has a Campus in the beautiful city of Aginskoye. Other structural units are the Center of Landscape Gardening and Design, the Veterinary Clinic, the Center of Career Guidance, the Testing Laboratory Center, the Logistics Center, the Educational and Scientific Center of Innovations, and the Laboratory of Solar, Hydro, and Wind energy.
Study Programs
Buryat State Agriculture Academy provides studying processes at the following faculties:
- Faculty of Agribusiness and Intercultural Communications;
- Faculty of Agronomics;
- Faculty of Veterinary Medicine;
- Faculty of Engineering;
- Faculty of Technology.
Accommodation and Housing
University provides its students with renovated apartments in the same city center, near all needed for comfortable living facilities. The dormitory has a perfect location near grocery stores, cafés, and restaurants with Russian and international cuisine within walking distance. All city attractions, museums, theaters, and historic places are either within walking distance or easy transportation from the dormitory. The dormitory also is conveniently located in terms of going to and from the airport, either by taxi or via the metro.
The dormitory is a corridor-type residential building with shared facilities. One room usually accommodates three or four roommates. Entrances to the building are equipped with video surveillance and security posts. Every room fully has modern furniture and technical equipment, such as central heating and air conditioning systems, permanent Wi-Fi, and cable TV.
