Faculty of Medicine at Chuvash State University
General Information
The Faculty of Medicine at Chuvash State University was opened in September 1967, based on the Resolution of the Soviet Council of Ministers. Chuvash State University is considered one of the best universities to get medical education in Russia and study MBBS in Russia.
The Faculty of Medicine has organized undergraduate medical courses, postgraduate medical courses, and doctoral studies for prominent doctors of the Chuvash Republic in various cycles of qualification improvement in many medical specialties. Every student can study MBBS in Russia on a 6-year course and get a higher medical degree in any medical specialty they chose.
Medical Faculty facilities are continuously updated and meet all modern study requirements. The basic study rooms, reading rooms, computer rooms, and laboratories are supplied with modern equipment, an anatomical museum, vivariums, a scientific library with about 200,000 editions, sports halls, and assembly halls, computer classes, large and small lecture halls in permanent access for all students and academic staff.
During its existence, the faculty has trained and produced more than 16,000 prominent doctors of all specialties. Faculty enrolled more than 3,000 students in recent years. The academic staff of more than 25 medical study departments consists of 300 famous medical specialists and lecturers from other countries. Teachers of the Faculty of Medicine periodically travel to foreign countries for international congresses and symposiums with scientific reports, work as heads of departments, and chief physicians of medical institutions, as well as conduct clinical work in the University Hospital.

Accommodation and Housing
Chuvash State University has 10 student hostels. All of them have central heating in each room with provided electricity supply, hot and cold water, and a phone. Each room is equipped with furniture and bedding to ensure the comfort of the students coming to study MBBS in Russia.
By owing the student’s requirements, each hostel incorporates a reading room and gym on the university campus. Student Dormitory has eight rooms per floor, with 2-3 people per room. Each floor also has one kitchen and two toilets, and the basement has a shower. All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.
