East Siberian State Technological University
General Information
Siberian State Technological University is the oldest university in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. It was established in 1930 as the Siberian Institute of Forest. It is the first technical higher educational institution in Transbaikalia and the first university in the Republic of Buryatia. University today is the largest scientific and educational complex in the East of the country, with the highest ranking in the higher education system of Russia.
University realizes the principle of continuing education and expands the possibility of optimization of educational processes by members of academic staff and students of 4-5 years of study. They are trained with modern teaching methods and get a higher degree at the regional institute of professional training.
University has trained more than 50,000 alumni with higher vocational training that are the basis of industrial and economic management of the enterprises, establishments, and organizations not only in Siberia and the Far East but also in other regions of Russia.
The academic staff consists of 120 professors and doctors of sciences and over 450 teachers with Candidate degrees which is a bright indicator of the highest skill level of scientific and pedagogical shots.

Accommodation and Housing
University has the biggest campus in the city with well-equipped and beautiful buildings. It has several dormitories for both local and international students. Rooms are shared between 2-4 students. All dorms are renovated and equipped with free Wi-Fi, cable TV, air conditioning, and a central heating system.
The university has made available all the important and necessary facilities for the students including beds, cushions, wardrobes, study tables, and all daily required utilities. It has provided various specialized areas for students’ comfort like study areas, research labs, sports clubs, gyms, gardens, guest rooms, and many more at walking distance from the campus. The campus is purely safe and secure for all students, also for this, entry without a card is strictly prohibited.
