Far Eastern State Medical University
General Information
Far Eastern State Medical University was established in 1930 and conducted educational activity according to the license and state accreditation of the Ministry of Higher Education in Russia. Medical education is based on the educational programs of medical specialties according to State Medical Education requirements and focused mainly on practical experiences in medical science.
University provides quality medical education in the MBBS courses, pediatrics courses, dentistry courses, pharmacy courses, and nursing courses. Theoretical studies are carried out in 3 educational buildings of the University. The academic staff consists of 475 prominent lecturers from all Far East regions. Two of them are corresponding members of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, 9 are Honorary doctors, 64 are Doctors of Medicine, and 259 are tutors with an academic degree.
The Far Eastern State Medical University provides free access to its Scientific Library, which contains more than 610,000 copies, including 220,000 examples of scientific literature and over 25,000 examples of foreign literature. Sixty-one medical study departments of the University are equipped with personal computers. University is supplied with its own computer network, including more than 500 modern computers. After graduating from the University, the medical education continues in a one-year internship abroad in 21 medical specialties and a two-year clinical residency in 64 medical specialties.
Education in post-graduate medical courses is conducted in 24 medical specialties. More than 3,000 specialists in healthcare science annually raise their qualifications on the base of the University in the MBBS courses, surgery courses, pediatrics courses, obstetrics and gynecology courses, physiotherapy courses, and reflex therapy.

Accommodation and Housing
University has 11 student dormitories. Students usually live in a student dormitory, which is the nearest to their Institute. Each dormitory has an internet connection and recreation hall; many student dormitories have gyms and other sports facilities.
There are 2 or 3 students in a room and bathrooms and kitchens on each floor. Khabarovsk has a well-developed public transport system, so you can get anywhere you want from each dormitory building. Every room is equipped with modern furniture such as beds, tables, wardrobes, chairs, bedding that changes twice a month, and freely accessible Wi-Fi.
