General Information
Kuibysheba Far Eastern State Technical University (FESTU) is a university located in Vladivostok, Russia. It was established in February 1930, as Far Eastern Polytechnic Institute. It was granted university status and got state accreditation in 1992.
Kuibysheba Far Eastern State Technical University is not a successor of the Oriental Institute as it claimed to be. The court denied its claims and reassured Far Eastern Federal University as the only successor. But FESTU was established on the base of a closed Oriental Institute and the building of the original Oriental Institute is currently the main building of Far Eastern State Technical University.
Currently, the University enrolled more than 8,500 local and international students to study technical sciences, mechanical engineering, and IT science. Students have the option of studying undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, and doctoral studies at quality Russian universities.
This 90-year-old Russian university has a rigorous admissions process based on entrance exams and applicants’ previous academic records and ratings. Students from all around the world are invited to apply for admission. University also offers students a library, accommodation, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, and administrative services, among other academic and non-academic facilities and services.

Accommodation and Housing
Student Dormitory has eight rooms per floor, with 2-3 people per room. Each floor also has one kitchen and two toilets, and the basement has a shower. All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.
Every hostel resident can use every common room in the building, including the library, gym, canteen, and resting rooms. All rooms are well-furnished and ready to use at every time and day. Every room is supplied with modern technologies such as computers, cable TV, free Wi-Fi, central heating systems, air condition systems, and audiovisual equipment.
