Ivanovo State Power Engineering University

General Information 

Ivanovo State Power Engineering University named after V.I. Lenin (ISPU) was founded based on Ivanovo-Voznesensk Polytechnic Institute in 1930. In 1992 it was accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education in Russia and received the status of a higher educational establishment. It is the best place to study in Russia and get a higher degree in Russia.

Today Ivanovo State Power Engineering University holds one of the leading positions in the region in terms of quality of education, research, learning facilities, and equipment. University provides quality technical education for about 7,000 students. The academic staff consists of 450 professors and lecturers including 57 Doctors and 279 Candidates of Engineering, Science, Economics, and Education work for the study faculties and research centers. 

Ivanovo State Power Engineering University offers training of specialists in bachelor’s courses and master’s courses in 44 areas of education in full-time studying and extra-mural forms of studying. The University offers postgraduate courses in 29 technical specialties and doctorate studies in 6 study specialties. Ivanovo State Power Engineering University offers foreign students full-time and extra-mural education in undergraduate courses in Russia, graduate courses in Russia, and postgraduate courses in Russia. 

In 2010, the specialties “Industrial Electronics” and “Nuclear Power Plants” in University were awarded the European quality mark (EUR-ACE). Ivanovo State Power Engineering University, along with 12 leading Russian universities that train personnel for the country’s nuclear industry, entered the “Consortium of flagship universities of the State Corporation Rosatom”.

Accommodation and Housing 

Student Dormitory has eight rooms per floor, with 2-3 people per room. Each floor also has one kitchen and two toilets, and the basement has a shower. All rooms have access to free Wi-fi and are equipped with essential modern amenities like a pillow, blanket, bedsheet, beds, tables, and chairs that are already added to the basic necessity list. For student recreation gyms, reading rooms and sports complex facilities are also available.

Every hostel resident can use every common room in the building, including the library, gym, canteen, and resting rooms. All rooms are well-furnished and ready to use at any time and day.
