Karachay-Cherkessia State Technological Academy

General Information 

Karachay-Cherkessia State Technological Academy operates 6 study institutes (agricultural institute, medical institute, legal institute, economics, and management institute, applied mathematics and information technology institute, engineering institute) and the Faculty of Design and Arts, as well as the secondary vocational college. The university has more than 5,200 students. 

The academy provides all the conditions necessary for the educational activities of the university: there is a library and publishing center, an institute of professional development and additional general and vocational education, a center for student creativity, etc.

The academy employs more than 900 members of academic staff, including lecturers, training and support staff, and service personnel. 

All educational units of the academy such as educational institutions, and study departments are headed by teachers with academic degrees and titles. Educational activities in the academy are carried out in the squares, enshrined in the right of operational management of the orders of the Territorial Office of the Federal Agency for the Management of Federal Property in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and the city of Sochi.

Accommodation and Housing 

While getting a higher education, all the students are provided with comfortable rooms for living in hostels for students. All the rooms are provided with Internet access, a TV set, and a telephone. There are bathrooms, lavatories, and kitchens for students in the hostels. The campus area is equipped with a gym, a large number of food shops, and entertainment centers.

Usually, students use accommodation facilities on a sharing basis. All students’ hostels are safe and secure as they are under the protection of the police. The hostel provide all needed facilities for students such as modern furniture, changed bedding, TV, free Wi-Fi, reading rooms, studying rooms, a hostel library, a common kitchen, and separate bathrooms and toilets.
