Kazan State University of Culture and Arts

General Information 

Kazan State University of Art and Culture was founded in 1969 as a branch of the Leningrad State Institute of Culture. In 1974 the Institute was reorganized into the Kazan State Institute of Culture. University is the best place to study art in Russia and study acting performance in Russia. All local and international students have the opportunity to get quality Russian higher degrees.

In 2001, the association established the Kazan State University of Art and Culture, a regional center educational district, which comprises more than 20 educational institutions of culture and art of the Middle Volga. Today, Kazan State University of Culture and Arts is a dynamic leading regional center of culture, scientifical research, educational science, and arts, in which the classical tradition of high school is combined with the latest educational technology. The cultural university is progressively developing new higher schools, adapting to the current socio-economic and socio-political conditions which play an increasingly active role in regional integration, and federal and international educational space. 

Kazan State University of Culture and Arts has 9 study faculties and 30 study departments that implement basic educational programs. Students can study at 14 undergraduate programs at 29 study specialties, 3 Masters program, 7 graduate schools, doctorate courses of study, 3 councils for doctoral dissertations, and study institute mobility programs that implement programs of additional education (training on the profile of the basic professional educational programs, preparation for university entrance, retraining programs of the basic professional educational programs, continuing professional education).

Accommodation and Housing

University provides high-quality accommodation for international students. The hostel is very close to the college campus. The students are provided with fully furnished rooms on sharing basis. There are around 7 student hostels on the University Campus. The hostels have kitchens, laundry rooms, rooms for study and training sessions, recreation rooms, a gym, etc. The complete hostel complex is equipped with internet access.

University aims at providing maximum comfort to the students. The hostel rooms are designed such as 2-3 students can share one room. The rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and a centralized heating system. Student hostels have convenient locations near the city center. The local markets and other amenities are easily accessible to the students.
