Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University
Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University is a higher education institution in the city of Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The University was established in 1955 and become the center of educational activity in the city. It provides its students with the opportunity to use the most modern studying equipment to conduct scientific research in the field of technical science and power engineering.
Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University provides professional training in 58 educational programs for Undergraduate courses, Postgraduate courses, and Doctoral studies. Today Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University comprises 9 study faculties, 48 study departments, 3 study institutes, and a branch in the village of Busan. All of them supplied students with all the study materials and technical equipment they need for studying and research activities. Students can conduct research and implement their results in life.
At present Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University enrolls more than 4,500 prominent local and international students who are being trained under the pedagogical staff of 780 skilled teachers and researchers in the fields of technical science and power engineering. During 60 years of teaching activity, Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University has trained over 21,000 specialists. Accommodation and Housing
Komsomolsk-on-Amur State Technical University provides renovated and well-furnished Student Dormitories near the main studying building. There are two well-maintained student dormitories, which are home to about 700 international students of different study levels. Students live in shared rooms between 2-3 people and have permanent access to shared bathrooms. Each student dormitory has showers, kitchens, laundry rooms, storage rooms, self–training rooms, and student recreation. There is a local computer network with Internet access in student dormitories and guest rooms for parents or friends who come to visit students.
The rooms are equipped with air-conditioning and a centralized heating system. The location of the hostels is very near to the city’s center. The local food markets and other amenities are easily accessible to the students.
