General Information
Kuban State Technical University is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the Kuban and the North Caucasus. University was founded in 1918 as the North Caucasian Polytechnic Institute. Over the years Kuban State Technical University has repeatedly changed its name, in 1919 Kuban Polytechnic Institute, in 1923 Kuban Agricultural Institute, and in 1930 North-Caucasian Institute of Food Industry.
Currently, Kuban State Technical University enrolls 6700 local and international students within Russia and 21 foreign countries. University provides studying processes for local and international students from other countries. Due to numerous cooperation agreements with foreign universities and organizations, members of academic staff and students have the opportunity to take part in exchange programs and internships abroad to get new theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
Since its formation, Kuban State Technical University has trained more than 28,000 professionals in the technical sciences and power engineering fields. University has 12 study faculties, 56 study departments, and a prominent teaching staff consisting of 1,400 skilled teachers. Its academic staff is professionals in the field of technical sciences and mechanical engineering, that are ready to assist students in every issue concerning studying processes and research activities.
University has adopted the policy of internationalization that aimed to improve international cooperation with reputable research activities and educational establishments for training students at the heights of world standards, which allows graduates to be more successful. Kuban State Technechnical University is open to cooperation with all bodies that have the same vision and understanding to make this world better and graduates more successful.

Accommodation and Housing
Kuban State University welcomes international students and is generally able to provide accommodation for all new international students without dependents. Students reside at Kuban State University in renovated and shared rooms between 2-3 people. The student dormitories are situated near the main studying building.
The four-room apartments with up-to-date facilities offer the opportunity to integrate into the University and interact closely with Russian students. International students live in separate apartments which consist of four rooms. One room is intended for two-three persons. For food-supplying, the University has some cafeterias, student-canteen, and bars. But students can go shopping and cook their meals which is possible with the facilities provided in the student dormitories.
