Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture

General Information 

Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture is a higher educational institution with more than a century of history. The institution was founded in 1918 as the Moscow Institute of Physical Culture. During its educational activity and research activity, the university has educated more than 60,000 specialists, among them – about 5,000 foreign students from 115 countries who get a higher degree in Russian universities. 

The number of graduates of this educational institution includes several hundred Olympic champions, and prize-winners of European and world competitions: Evgenia Medvedeva, Lev Yashin, Valery Kharlamov, Alexander Ovechkin, Adelina Sotnikova, and many others.

Currently, the academy includes several specialized institutes, including the Central Olympic Academy. University provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develop advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at academy are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.

University is the best place to study in Russia for international students. All students can take part in international exchange programs and internships abroad. Academy provides full-time studying and part-time studying in undergraduate courses in Russia, postgraduate courses in Russia, and doctoral studies in Russia.

Accommodation and Housing 

Aacdemy has a modern hostel residence facility divided into 13 buildings for 4,500 students Non-resident students, interns, undergraduate students, and graduates also can apply for student apartments. Rooms are completely renovated and well-furnished, equipped with modern technologies and free Wi-Fi. 

Students can live in shared rooms, uses shared washrooms, and have a bed, table chair, and a cupboard of their own. The hostel also has laundry rooms, performance halls, and fitness rooms.  The students will also be supplied with a high-speed internet facility, modern TV, and computers in the hostel. All modern amenities are available to international students at the University – pillows, blankets, bedsheets, beds, tables, chairs, etc.
