Northern State Medical University Arkhangelsk
General Information
Northern State Medical University was founded in 1932 and is one of the best medical universities in Russia when it comes to studying MBBS in Russia for international students. It is a recognized university and shares a position with the top medical universities in Russia. Medical education is provided by the department of preventive medicine and medical biochemistry.
University buildings are provided with up-to-date equipment: computers, TV, video aids, and other modern appliances. Training at the modern building of the Pre-Clinical Center supplied by plenty of state-of-the-art medical mannequins and equipment is a part of the educational program. There are 55 departments, 27 of which are clinical ones and situated at the best hospitals in the city.
Along with MBBS various other medical courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels of study are offered to the students. The university staff has around 980 prominent members including famous researchers, professors, teachers, etc. Around 5,500 students are currently studying medical sciences at Northern State Medical University.

Accommodation and Housing
Students will be offered accommodation in one of the University’s student hostels. Rooms are fully furnished (table, chairs, beds, shelf, wardrobe) and shared between 2-3 persons. Two rooms have a common shower and toilet. Rooms are shared with other students of the same gender, but in the same block, there can be students of the opposite gender as neighbors.
Dormitories have common kitchens and laundries, arranged common rooms, renovated and supplied by modern technology study rooms. Students can visit reading rooms and libraries with a huge amount of information resources useful for studying. The hostel has a convenient location, so everybody can go to the main study building by foot or bus.
