General Information
Omsk State Technical University (OmSTU) in Omsk, Russia, is an educational institution in the Western Siberian Region. Omsk State Technical University was established in 1942. University has a rapidly developing research and educational system, aimed at graduating specialists in the field of technical science, technical engineering, and computer science.
University accepts local and international students. The medium of instruction of Russian and English. Students can apply for Bachelor’s courses, Masters’s courses, and Ph.D. degree programs. The university is an officially registered university with the Ministry of Higher Education in Russia. Due to numerous cooperation agreements with foreign universities and international organizations, students and members of academic staff can take part in exchange programs and internships abroad to get new theoretical knowledge and practical experience.

Accommodation and Housing
The University campus comprises 8 educational buildings, 6 students’ hostels, the palace of culture «Integral», a health center, a polyclinic, a stadium, a swimming pool, etc. The students live in comfortable hostels with cooking and laundry facilities, where they can work in computer rooms, as well as relax after their studies. They have their meals in the hostels, canteens, and snack bars on campus.
University has all the necessary sporting facilities for students and employees such as sports halls, tennis courts, stadiums, ski centers, gyms, aerobics halls, a brand-new swimming pool, and a sauna. Every room has a permanent Wi-Fi connection, a system of central heating, air conditioning, and a permanent electricity supply. The rooms are equipped with beds, desks, chairs, and wall shelves for each student. Wardrobes and shoe racks located in the hallway are shared by the students living in the unit as well as a refrigerator. Blankets, pillows, and bed sheets are also provided to students.
