General Information
Saint Petersburg College of Water Transport is a higher educational institution and the structural unit of Saint Petersburg State University of Sea and River Fleet. Saint Petersburg College of Water Transport was founded in 1930. The university conducts pre-university training for international applicants in technical science, medical and biological science, economical science, and humanity science.
Currently, Saint Petersburg College of Water Transport is the largest educational institution of secondary vocational education and the leading training center for the sea and river fleet in Saint Petersburg. Over its history, Saint Petersburg College of Water Transport has prepared a large number of capable organizers for the Navy and the shipyards. At present Saint Petersburg College of Water Transport has 4,500 local and international students in 26 study departments with 190 professional educators. In the last 70 years, Saint Petersburg College of Water Transport has trained 26,000 professionals and marine engineers.
All graduates have vast amounts of opportunities with employment in the most popular international organizations and Russian companies. The university offers 11 English-medium Master`s programs, two of which are internationally accredited to ASIIN (German accreditation association).
University provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develop advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.

Accommodation and Housing
The University provides 3 Student Hostels to accommodate international students and non-city residents. All hostels are protected by the police under CCTV surveillance and every student can feel safe and comfortable during studying or resting.
Every student has free access to all hostel rooms as renovated and equipped reading halls with modern technologies and a huge base of informational resources, a cafeteria with the ability to drink coffee and spend time with friends, a gym with new sports equipment, geyser for hot and cold water and park on the territory of the hostel.
