About University 

Saint Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy is a higher educational institution in St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy was established in 1919 in Petrograd city as Petrograd State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Institute. In 1937 the Chemical-Pharmaceutical Faculty became an independent medical department of the Leningrad Institute of Pharmacy. Students have the ability to study MBBS in Russian universities.

In 1990 Leningrad Chemical-Pharmaceutical Institute was renamed St. Petersburg Chemical-Pharmaceutical Institute, which on 24 April 1996 was renamed Saint Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy with modern medical technology.  Nowadays medical universities become the center of academic and research activity in Saint Petersburg and abroad. Students and academic staff have the opportunity to exchange experience and increase mobility.

Every year St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy trains more than 3,000 prominent students from 47 regions of Russia and 21 countries. Till now St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy has trained 24500 specialists in fields of medicine, healthcare science, pharmacy sciences, and nursing sciences. Today St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy has 34 medical study departments with 450 highly experienced teachers.

St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy Russia is functioned by various medical departments and medical faculties that train well-educated specialists for most sectors of the Russian national economy. The college provides a good ratio of well-trained and highly educated faculty members equipped with modern medical technology. It also provides a sufficient number of non-technical staff to supply an ambiance of self-learning to the students. The college is committed to uplifting the health care education and output delivery system for the country’s people.

Recognition 

The medical academy is recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) which means MBBS students can easily give the MCI screening test and practice medicine in India. It also gained recognition from the World Health Organization (WHO). Academy provides Globally Recognized Courses in Medical Science (approved in Europe, the UK, the USA, Asia, and Africa). The medical degree of Yaroslavl State Medical University is recognized by WHO, UNESCO, PLAB (the UK), USMLE (the USA), MCI, PMDC, and other international organizations throughout the EU.

University offers medical courses and study programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as Pre-Bachelor Degrees in Medicine  (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), Bachelor Degrees in Medicine, Master Degrees in Medicine, and Doctorate Degrees in Medicine in several areas of study.

Accommodation 

Saint Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical Academy provides its students with the ability to Live in two renovated buildings situated near the city center. Two modern hostels are available for students with dormitory-type rooms on a sharing basis (single rooms are available at additional cost). The hostel is connected to the University by a direct metro extension (normally it takes about 25 minutes to get to the University).

A great number of shops with high-quality food, both home-produced and imported, are available in St. Petersburg. At the University there is a hostel canteen and a modern cafe where you can have lunch at a reasonable price. You can also visit more expensive restaurants and try international cuisine. Furthermore, students can cook their specialties by themselves in the student hostel. All rooms are supplied with modern furniture such as beds, tables, chairs, and wardrobes. Students have permanent access to cable TV, free Wi-Fi, common laundry rooms, reading rooms, and study rooms
