General Information
The N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory is a school of music in Saint Petersburg, Russia. St. Petersburg Conservatory was founded in 1862 following the initiative and through the active organizational skills of the renowned pianist and composer Anton Rubinstein. This is the best music institution of higher education in the region. University is the best place to study music, study arts, and study culture in Russia.
Students can apply for Bachelor’s courses, Masters’s courses, and Ph.D. degree programs. The conservatory is an officially registered educational establishment with the Ministry of Higher Education in Russia. Due to numerous cooperation agreements with foreign universities and international organizations, students and members of academic staff can take part in exchange programs and internships abroad to get new theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
Today the conservatory offers training in performance, pedagogical methods, composition, history of Russian and Western music conducting, musicology, music teaching, the art of the choreographer, and other subjects. Many professional and established artists teach courses.
Over 1,500 international students comprise the student body. Students must pass a Russian language exam prior to admission. A 10-month preparatory course is available for foreign students who need to learn the Russian language. The course also teaches other elements they will need to succeed during their course of study.

Accommodation and Housing
The University is proud of its modern dormitory housing 1100 people. Every section has two cozy rooms, a kitchen, a shower, and a bathroom. The hostel for international students is located in the center of the city 30mtr from the University’s main building. The hostel has well-equipped rooms with all modern facilities for 3 seated big rooms upgraded comforts, and central heating.
Reception, laundry, cleaning and washing personnel, reading room, and computer hall are always available for every hostel resident. The cost of living in Russia can be completely affordable and can also make it a comfortable place to live in.
