Samara State Transport University
General Information
Samara State Transport University is the largest university complex in the Volga region, training specialists in high and middle management not only for transport but also for other sectors of the economy. Teaching is carried out by highly qualified scientific and academic staff, including senior scientists and inventors. Modern laboratory equipment is widely used in the educational process.
University provides quality technical education for over 7,500 local and international students. It is one of the most prominent Russian higher education institutions for receiving a technical degree in Russia. University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees, and doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
The Russian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students’ past academic records and grades. Samara State Transport University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a university library, students dormitory, sports facilities, internships abroad, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.

Accommodation and Housing
When necessary, foreign students are given places in dormitories for the period of study. The only requirement is to be in an intramural form of study. Places in the dormitories for students of the extramural form of study are given only for the examination period.
All dormitories of Samara State Transport University are completed with all the necessary amenities. Room is shared between 2-3 students (depending on the dormitory). Each student has a bed (with bedding), table, chair, shelf, and dressing. The kitchen and washroom are shared between students who are living on the same floor. All modern amenities are available including pillows, blankets, bedsheets, beds, tables, chairs, etc. One common kitchen in every block of rooms is available for students to cook food on their own. Regular electricity and water supply are available for students.
