General Information
Saratov State Academy of Law is a federal state educational institution of higher professional education in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation. Saratov State Academy of Law was established in 1931 as the Saratov Institute of Law. In 1995 Saratov Institute of Law was transformed into the Saratov State Academy of Law. University is the best place to study law in Russia, study history in Russia, study political science in Russia, and study military science in Russia.
Currently, Saratov State Academy of Law holds 8th place among law schools in the Russian Federation. Today Saratov State Academy of Law has 8 academic buildings, the largest scientific library and legal library, postgraduate programs in law, doctoral programs in law, and 4 dissertation councils. Currently, Saratov State Academy of Law enrolls more than 6,700 local and international students in 32 study departments under the staff of 590 skilled educators. Since 1995 Saratov State Academy of Law has trained 27,000 law professionals.
University provides various theatrical studios, vocal studios, and dance studios, as well as 20 sports sections. Sport is an integral part of student life. It includes sports teams of the university on football, mini-football, basketball, and volleyball, and works with individual athletes. Women’s mini-football team, men’s football team, women’s basketball team, and men’s volleyball team achieved high results in sports.
Academy provides studying processes for local and international students from other countries. Due to numerous cooperation agreements with foreign universities and organizations, members of academic staff and students have the opportunity to take part in exchange programs and internships abroad to get new theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Accommodation and Housing
The student dormitories are located within a minute’s walk from all the university facilities and academic buildings. There are two main choices of accommodation for international students. The first type is where the rooms are grouped into flats which are fully equipped with all the necessities. All the rooms have private bathrooms and kitchens. The second type is the block system with a shared toilet and shower and kitchen on the floor. All types of dormitories have high-speed internet access.
