Nevelskoy State Maritime University

General Information

Nevelskoy State Maritime University is one of the oldest universities in the Far East. Maritime State University was founded in 1890 in Vladivostok. State Maritime University prepares professionals in the field of marine transportation systems, humanities, and marine engineering. University is the best place to study marine science in Russia and study ship construction in Russia.

Nevelskoy State Maritime University  is not only the first Russian State Maritime University but also one of the leading universities in the Asia-Pacific region. Today the training of specialists for the marine industry at Nevelskoy State Maritime University  is carried out by 750 highly qualified teachers with many years of experience in the educational process and the Navy. At present Nevelskoy State Maritime University has 15 study faculties and 53 study departments and 8 study institutes. Every year Nevelskoy State Maritime University enrolls more than 2,100 local and international students. In 200 years Nevelskoy State Maritime University  has trained more than 95,000 marine professionals.

University provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develop advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.

Accommodation and Housing 

University provides a hostel for more than 1500 students. Students can get either an individual room or a double shared room. Rooms are equipped with modern furniture and bedding to make life there comfortable.

Students can find their national food being served in the hostel canteens and also many restaurants and other necessary stores are nearby. Well-developed infrastructure and the environment is friendly and safe. The rooms are well-furnished and clean. There are laundry rooms and dining areas as well. The hostel provide all needed facilities for students as modern furniture, changed bedding, TV, free Wi-Fi, reading rooms, studying rooms, a hostel library, a common kitchen, and separate bathrooms and toilets. Hostels are under 24/7 CCTV surveillance, so every student can feel safe and comfortable. Wi-Fi connectivity is accessible 24/7 to make studying and resting more useful.
