General Information
Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics is a public university in Tomsk, Russia. It was founded in 1962 and formed from the Faculty of Radio Engineering and the Faculty of Electric Radio Control, split from Tomsk Polytechnic University to create a new educational institution. The mission of TUSUR as a research university is to create a cultural, educational, research, and innovative environment, ensuring achievement of success by alumni.
The University is a member of the Bologna process. It provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develops advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.
University is considered the best place to study radio electronics, study engineering in Russia, study electronics in Russia, and get a higher degree in a Russian university. Study programs are based on ratified educational standards and harmonically group the latest scientific and technical progress. Most departments are provided with scientific research laboratories and divisions, which perform research activities and development on major directions of engineering science.

Accommodation and Housing
International students are provided with a dormitory for the entire education period. Students’ hostels have single and double rooms which are fully equipped for life and study. Canteens offer a variety of dishes at reasonable prices. There are a market and grocery stores nearby for those who prefer to cook for themselves. Students’ cafes, bars, and city parks are popular places for entertainment and outdoor recreation. The dormitory is on the University campus within walking distance from the academic buildings.
All modern amenities are available including pillows, blankets, bedsheets, beds, tables, chairs, etc. One common kitchen in every block of rooms is available for students to cook food on their own. Regular electricity and water supply are available for students.
