Vologda State Dairy Academy

General Information
Vologda State Dairy Academy is one of the oldest higher educational institutions in Vologda city of the Russian Federation. Vologda State Dairy Academy was founded in 1911 as a Vologda Dairy Institute. The purpose of Vologda State Dairy Academy was to promote research in the field of dairy farming and cattle breeding and prepare graduates to serve as the region’s next generation of farmers and scholars.
Today Vologda State Dairy Academy has seven study buildings, four training centers, and research centers. Vologda State Dairy Academy conducts training in 26 study departments with a staff of 405 qualified teachers. Till now Vologda State Dairy Academy has trained 19,000 local and international students.
Academy provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develop advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at academy are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.
Academy is the best place to study in Russia for international students. All students can take part in international exchange programs and internships abroad. Academy provides full-time studying and part-time studying in undergraduate courses in Russia, postgraduate courses in Russia, and doctoral studies in Russia.

Accommodation and Housing
University provides a well-furnished Student Hostel for all its students. The student dormitory is a 5-story building. Each floor houses around 24 people in total, spread across 8 units. The units (26 square meters) are made up of a hallway, a bathroom, a dining room, and one renovated bedroom. The units are designed to accommodate 3 people.
The rooms are equipped with beds, desks, chairs, and wall shelves for each international student. Wardrobes and shoe racks located in the hallway are shared by the students living in the unit as well as a refrigerator. Every room has got permanent access to free Wi-Fi and cable TV. Blankets, pillows, and bed sheets are also provided to international students. The linen is changed once every 10 days. Kitchens are situated on every floor, where students can find cookers, several sinks, and tables, and cook their national dishes. Every dorm residents have permanent access to all hostel rooms such as living rooms, study rooms, common laundry rooms, and computer rooms.
