General Information
The Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies is one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Russia for training highly skilled specialists for food and chemical industries with a wide range of study programs for foreign students.
University was founded on June 3, 1930. The new institute had three departments – the mechanical department, the technological department, the planning department, and the economic department. It provides studying of Bachelor’s programs, Master’s programs, and Postgraduate programs for Russian students and develops advanced Master’s programs with English medium of instruction. Students and teaching staff at University are involved in a variety of research activities and grant programs in Russian universities and universities abroad.
About 47,000 local and international students have graduated from Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies since it was founded, including 4000 foreign students. Today the university offers a wide range of qualifications and training programs.
The main areas of activity are food processing technologies from plant and animal raw materials, automation of technological and production processes, biotechnology, bioinformatics, information systems and technologies, chemical technology, environmental protection, and sustainable use of natural resources.

Accommodation and Housing
Two modern hostels are available for students with dormitory-type rooms for two (single rooms are available at an additional cost). The hostel is connected to the University by a direct metro extension (normally it takes about 25 minutes to get to the University).
A great number of shops with high-quality food, both home-produced and imported are available in Voronezh. At the University there is a canteen and a cafe where you can have lunch for a reasonable price. You can also visit more expensive restaurants and try international cuisine. Furthermore, students can cook their specialties by themselves in the hostel. Students live in shared rooms between 2-3 people and have permanent access to shared bathrooms. Each student dormitory has showers, kitchens, laundry rooms, storage rooms, self–training rooms, and student recreation. There is a local computer network with Internet access in student dormitories and guest rooms for parents or friends who come to visit students.
